Wizard

There's a war going on. Not in Bosnia or Iraq or those countries; those aren't real wars. The war exists right here, every day, in your mind. You're a part of it. You're a pawn; one of the Controlled who still hasn't woken up and realised that it's happening all around you.

This world and everything in it is a lie. It's all just one big psychic construct created in the collective dream world we've been subjugated into. But you can get out. You can open your eyes and realise the truth. You've just got to reach out and grasp it. You can feel it. You can touch it.

I used to think I was crazy. Just some kid who heard voices. My 'father' took me to be 'tested'. When drugs couldn't fix it, they tried electrotherapy. When electrotherapy didn't stop it, they tried seclusion. That's where I figured it out. Alone in the silence, I learned the TRUTH. It's not real, man. This world, this fiction doesn't really exist. We're just psychic projections--Shades--of our true self. Your Shade's important, though. If it dies, so do you. If it gets excited, so do you. You gotta understand, it's so believable because they've got our brains wired right in. It FEELS real. That's why it nearly is.

Don't believe me? Let me prove it to you.

In 1999, we punched a big hole in their fiction. You saw it. I know you did, because it was the most popular phenomena of the year. The Matrix. Just a movie, you think? Watch it again, man. Then go out and look at how many people are telling you it's real. It's really real! That was our first major victory since they put us all to sleep in the first place. Sure, it was hokey science-fiction and it didn't get it across right, but we'd have never managed to get a collective psychic energy to tell you the real truth in that format.

You still don't believe, though. Go watch the second and third movies. Those weren't us. That was their response; they were scared like hell; had to fight back, so they tried to undermine the message by confusing it with crap.

Go out your door. Look up at the sun. See that halo around it? That's where you can see them. Ever heard things go bump in the night? That's their agents, working to destroy those who look too deep into the TRUTH.

You want the truth, you gotta fight for it.

Start by picking up a pen and a piece of paper. They're fake, too, but it doesn't matter, just do it. Write the words 'I Am Awake' on the paper. Sign your name. Then burn it. That's the first step. Now go arm yourself. Do it with knowledge most of all, but do it with guns and swords and your mother's frying pan. Get whatever you can get your hands on, because they're gonna come for you.

But so will I.
