| Werewolf: The Forsaken
|
|
- The howl in the night.
- The screaming moon.
- The shadows pregnant, shrouding your stalker.
You are hunted by an unnatural beast of cold fury.
- It smells your fear.
- It hears every footstep.
- It feels the echo of the whisper you dare not voice.
The supreme predator has found you.
- And it is very, very angry.

Status
- Werewolf is currently open on a limited basis for new werewolf applications. We will be judging applications on their potential interaction with the sphere as well as general content. We will close when the population reaches 45.
- Werewolf is open to defrosting characters. This will close when the population reaches 50.
- First Changes are currently limited to one per RL Month. This will close when the population reaches 50. Note: Characters wishing to pursue a First Change in-character must have Wolfblooded
or greater (in the case of very-long active mortals, this may be waived - please contact the TL for more information). Next available: September
- Players with no supernatural characters can apply beyond the above limitations.
- Wolfblooded Applications are currently open. There is no defined cap on wolfbloods.
- Sighted wolfbloods are currently very limited. There is a 1/3 of current wolfblood population cap in place for Sighted wolfbloods. All interested wolfbloods should be active within the sphere for four (4) RL months without freezing before being considered. If you would like to be added to the wait-list or appeal your eligibility, +request and staff will discuss it. Staff will not approve Sighted wolfbloods in chargen. Next available: 15 (open)

Rules & Resources
|
Rules
- House Rules & Clarifications - Things changed, or clarified, for use on the Haunted Memories.
- Frequently Asked Questions - Quite a few questions, should be mostly up to date (though the links on the page may not be).
- Books - Books we have implemented.
- Commands - A quick reference for werewolf-specific commands used in game.
Wiki Resources
- Combat: Primer for nWoD combat.
- Storyboard: Resources for player storytelling in the Werewolf sphere, slightly outdated but mostly valid.
- PrP Storytellers - A listing of players willing to run plots. (Possibly out of date)
- RP Hooks - A list of RP hooks involving various PCs on grid.
- Equipment Guildlines - How we'd like Equipment +requests to come in.
- Totem Requests - We'd like to see totem requests come in like this! Plus some information on Totem-audits.
- Renown Guide - A guideline (and just a guideline) to Renown worthy deeds, some examples (both from outside sources and players), how to submit a Renown spend, and what to expect when submitting a Renown spend. It is arguably one of the most important spends for a werewolf player, and also one of the most frustrating.

XP Incentives
|
Incentives that are available to all characters once they hit the grid.
- Pack - Werewolf characters joining or creating a pack will receive a 5xp bonus. This is limited to one bonus per player per six-month (RL) period. (This does include players applying in together as a pack, but the bonus is only available when 3 members of the pack are on grid.) This does not apply to wolfblooded.
- Logs - We like to see logs! Submit a +request with links to 5 logs you have posted and receive a 1xp bonus! This is limited to one bonus per two-month (RL) period.
- IC Initiation - Ghost Wolves who join a tribe on-grid will be eligible for any XP incentive available for that tribe. (This can be found under application incentives.) This is not available to changing tribes. A Ghost Wolf that goes through initiation and fills a 0 on the demographics page is eligible for a 2xp bonus.
- Plot Incentives - We want to encourage people to make/write/run plots.

This story is true.
Vienna has stood for more than two thousand years, and during that long and checkered history, the Urdaga have stood with her. Through the Mongolian horde, the Babenbergs and the Habsburgs, Romans and plague and war, Mother Luna's children have stood with the City of Death and defended her against those that would threaten her. For centuries, the Forsaken held their ground.
And then came the the Purge in 2000, and Vienna's Urdaga were all but slain.
Now, it is five years later. Where there was once only a handful of wolves, packs have sprung up around the city's places of power. After a brutal guerrilla war that lasted for years, we have finally fought ourselves enough breathing room with the death of Savas Kehaya and the defeat of the Fire-Touched who threatened to pick up where the alpha of the Third Eclipse had left off.
Yet all is not well in Vienna, because it can never be; it is not the easy life that we are born to under the Mother's face. Where the Anshega are quiet, spirits raise ugly heads in their place, assaulting territories once thought to be well-defended and hunting out specific Urdaga by name. Wounds stretch through multiple parts of the city, too wide to be mended and too old to be combated.
But perhaps the most sinister is the rise of the shartha. Azlu have assaulted the East Side, and beshilu have boldly gone on the offensive, making direct assault on packs. Something looms over Vienna's horizon, as it always does, dark and terrible. And, as she always does, Vienna stands to meet it.
The only question will be who is standing with her when the ash settles.
- - from the journal of Duhlurhir, 16 September 2005
- History: An extended history of Vienna's werewolves.
- Time-line: A time-line of recent events.
- Other Cities: Information on werewolves in notable cities near Vienna.
- Spirits: The spirit bestiary. The hisil is a huge part of werewolf life, so the spirits should be well represented as well.

Society

Like us, Vienna carries her history written in her body. Every battle, every new development leaves its mark. And yet, even with all this history, Vienna manages to move forward. She should be a model for each of us, no matter what tribe we claim. The Uratha of Vienna are quite familiar with change. A meeting place becomes compromised and we build another. A pack falls and another rises from its ashes. For some, this constant change would be disheartening, but I find it encouraging. The Urdaga of Vienna are constantly adapting, ready to face any situation. If our entire society was destabilized tomorrow, our loci jeopardized and our pack houses razed, we'd reshuffle the cards and deal ourselves a new hand.
Listen to the lessons that the city has to teach you. I don't care what tribe you're in, we live in a city and she's a part of every one of us just as we're a part of her. Listen to the past and be ready to change to meet the future. Take care of Vienna and she'll take care of you. She's told me as much herself.

Player Run Plots
Players are encouraged to run plots of their own! You can use any one of your own ideas, or follow one of the ideas listed below. There are incentives for doing so! Plots submitted should use the following format.
One shot PRPs are still welcomed and encouraged. Please use the +news files for submitting these and determining rewards.
Plot Ideas
If you would like to run something out of this, feel free to put in requests for more information. We will be happy to point you in the right direction for developing ideas out of this as well as provide sounding boards for full plot development.
- Pure - There are still some Pure in the area. Namely, the Nest of Eagles in North Side (who had stayed out of the more recent incursions), the Ashes of the Father (also largely uninvolved in the recent incursions), the Nameless, and a few others not pre-structured into packs.
- Hosts - The Hosts are currently being used in the metaplot, if you would like to run something with the Hosts please +request more information.
- Catacombs - There's a whole stretch of catacombs beneath the city — as well as a pair of graveyards and such with which to work. Ghost stories abound!
- Wounds - There are two extensive Wounds (one in the Inner Districts and one in Prater District). Both Wounds have been developed to an extent — if you would like to do something with one of these, please submit a request for additional information.
- General Spirit World - There are limitless possibilities here. The spirit world is an alien concept and filled with all sorts of mysteries. Wounds, Barrens, Places that Aren't, etc.
- Ridden - There can be more of these — low to high powered, they can be anywhere and anything, living or not. The possessed fork-lift, the creepy drunk on the corner that never seems to sleep, the cat that watches people with far too-much interest.
- White-Wolf's premade plots - There are lots of plot seeds dusted throughout the series and even an entire book (Night Horrors: Wolfsbane) dedicated to plot ideas. Some of these would not necessarily work as-written, but shouldn't be hard to fit in. :)
- Player Created - Ideas that players have proposed but have not yet be run. Players may add written requests (per the incentives above), or write in specific requests for themselves.
