Vampire Commands
|
|
To make unlife simpler for the players in the Vampire sphere, Haunted Memories has developed quite a bit of code. Following is a run down of coded commands.
|
+activate
|
- +activate <power>[ <level>[=<args>]]
This command will 'turn on' a specific power, ability or skill that has a game effect. These powers will spend the appropriate blood automatically, and if it changes an attribute (Resilience and Vigor), that is adjusted as well. Vampire powers that this command covers are:
- Auspex 1
- Auspex 5
- Obfuscate 3
- Resilience
- Vigor
Example
- > +activate Obfuscate 3
- <+activate> You activate Obfuscate 3, concealing yourself.
See: +help activate in game for more details.
|
+deactivate
|
- +deactivate <power>[ <level>]
This command will 'turn off' a specific power, ability or skill that has a game effect.
Example
- > +deactivate Obfuscate
- <advisory> Your Obfuscate has expired.
|
+feed
|
- +feed <player>=<amount>
This command will allow you to attempt to feed on a player. The player and staff will be given a notification that you are attempting to feed on the target, and the player will be given a chance to allow or deny the request. If the player doesn't respond in 5 minutes, the request will timeout.
If the player approves the request, an appropriate amount of vitae will be transferred to you based on how much health they have and their supernatural template (if any). You may receive a number of messages based upon their supernatural template which affect the way you play; in these cases, a job will automatically be created for staff to review and update any vouchers if needed.
Example
- > +feed Jonathan=3
- <+feed> You send a request to Jonathan to feed on them for 3 vitae.
|
+coteries
|
- +coteries
This command will return a list of all the current coteries and those who are in them, including whether they are currently online or offline.
|
|
+hunt
|
- +hunt
This will bring up a detailed log of your last five hunts.
- +hunt <style/dice>=<vitae>/<comment>
The hunt! This is what you use to regain Vitae. <style/dice> can be any legal combination of your +sheet stats or pre-defined styles as well as numeric modifiers. <vitae> is how much Vitae you are trying to get from a vessel. Please be realistic. <comment> should be descriptive and include any special modifiers you are adding as well as any strange circumstances.
- Note
- Victim: This command is intended for use on a single vessel - do not hunt for groups, instead roll for each victim separately.
- Vitae: Taking 5 or more vitae in one hunt will generate an overhunting job for staff to review as taking more than 4 blood will leave the victim severely injured or dead.
- Herd: If you possess herd, it will be automatically added to your roll.
- Multiple Hunts: Each subsequent hunt after the first will accumulate a -1 penalty each IC day.
- Disciplines: If you wish to add a discipline to hunt, roll the discipline first, then add the successes to the +hunt. Make sure you include the use of the discipline in your hunt comment.
Example
- >+hunt romance+1=3/Bonus die for Seduction specialty.
- >+hunt romance+racks=2/Seducing someone at the Racks.
- >+hunt dexterity+larceny-2=5/Breaking into a blood bank. -2 dice for trying to conceal what I'm doing from other Kindred.
- +hunt/defs
This will return a list of the predefined styles and modifiers. They are only there for shortcut purposes. Typing in a style will be translated by code into what is on the right side.
- Ambush: Strength + Subterfuge
- Overpower: Strength + Brawl
- Racks: 2
- Romance: Presence + Persuasion
- Subtlety: Manipulation + Subterfuge
- +hunt/chance
This is used when your dice pool becomes 0 or less on a regular hunt attempt, you have the option of making a chance roll. You use this command to do it.
|
+map/domains
|
- +map/domains <area>
This shows a map of the specific area (CC, ES, ID, NS, PD, SS, WS) where neighbourhoods under control of different Clans, Covenants or Individuals are highlighted in different colors. If no <area> is specified, it will return the map of the area you are currently in. Note: This command requires your character to be in the Vampire Sphere (A Vampire or a Ghoul).
See: +help map in game for more details.
|
+vitae
|
- +vitae
Typing this command by itself will return a log of all of your vitae spends. Time on the log is IC time. The columns are:
- The IC time when you spent the vitae.
- The IC time elapsed since you spent the vitae.
- The amount of Vitae you spent. (+hunts have a + next to them indicating that the you gained Vitae.)
- Comments that you added when you entered the command, or automatically generated comments for things like healing and waking up.
- +vitae/heal <damage type>
This command will heal bashing, lethal or aggravated damage. It either spends one Vitae and heals two bashing, one lethal damage, or spends 5 vitae to heal one aggravated damage.
Note: Healing aggravated damage for a Vampire requires two full nights (or 48 IC hours) since taking damage to heal 1 point. To check when you took agg, type +damage (time shown is IC time). Please self-monitor the first use.
- +vitae/spend <#>=<comment>
This command allows you to spend a quantity of Vitae for any reason. This is what you are supposed to use when you have activated Blush of Life or other powers that are not covered by activate. This is logged and staff is very aware of it. Do not get caught RPing that you have used Blush of Life (or anything else for that matter) recently when you have not. You will be punished for repeat infractions. We're giving you the rope to do with as you will. If you hang yourself with it, it's your own fault.
- +vitae/transfer <player>=<amount>
Allows you to transfer an amount of vitae to someone. This is primarily used to give Vitae to your own ghoul but should also be used when giving Vitae to any non-vampire.
Note: +feed is preferred when Vampires are transferring Vitae to one another.
