Joining the Sphere

Sphere Status

  • Vampire is CLOSED - (OPEN for players who do not have any active approved characters).
    • Closed Concepts: Clan Daeva
  • Ghoul is OPEN

Joining the Sphere

To join the Vampire sphere the following points need to be reviewed:

  • Players who have do not have an approved characters are allowed to app into the sphere.
  • Existing Vampires who wish to freeze and recreate or unfreeze an old character may do so if their to-be-frozen character has been active for more than 45 days.
  • Existing players, players who recreated less than 45 days or unfreezing characters will be placed in a queue for when new slots free up. We have 50 slots in the Vampire Sphere and 20 in the Ghoul sphere.

Applications

Since vampires tend to be somewhat reclusive characters (at least when compared to the rest of the supernatural spheres), it's generally a good idea to have a character enter play with a few plot hooks or other reasons to seek out interaction, possibly proactive (as opposed to reactive) ones. Vampire staff will be happy to work out the details with you.

  • Bloodlines
Further dividing the Kindred are hereditary deviations of the Blood, bloodlines that have changed from more than merely family to being truly different from the rest of their kin. While most bloodlines are accepted at Haunted Memories as long as there is a good backstory to support them, some are restricted more harshly than others. After all, there can only be so many Indian demon-vampires in a city which sees little migratory influx from their country.
There's also a new Gangrel bloodline that has been adapted to the setting and is meant to replace the United States-based Bruja, the Streiter.
Bloodlines listed are those that have been approved for use. A number of bloodlines have not been examined at all, and may be in the future. Bloodlines explicitly disallowed are the Barjot, the Bohagande, the En, the Moroi and the Sta-Au.

Theme

Fall, 2004. Vienna, Austria.

The year 2004 brought shattering changes to Vienna. After a great absence and then disappearance Prince Wallenstien and a Carthian Siege of the Southside of Vienna, the Prince returned.. Leading an assault by Belial's Brood upon the city, promising to bring down destruction upon it, after having reportedly destroyed all Kindred life within the Austrian city of Graz. Around the same time that Berlin and Salzberg were sending their neonates to Vienna looking for answers for their own problems.

On the same night that the Dynasty that had ruled Vienna had truly been overtaken by a new Prince, the first attack to Vienna came in the form of an explosion. Saint Ruprecht's Cathedral brought down by an explosion that is rumored to have originated in the catacombs that run underneath it, though much of it is still a mystery. Change kept moving, quicker than normal for the city. Prince Veit retreated from city, and in his place Archbishop Moritz became Prince.

In August, the location of the Brood's lair was discovered and an attack was lead by all covenants upon it. The Carthians and Invictus kept guard outside of the abandoned manor that the Brood was tracked to, while the Ordo Dracul, Crones, and Lancea Sanctum went into the building and fought with the Brood and got rid of the threat to their domain.

It was shortly after these events that people started emerging from Graz and coming to Vienna at the urgings of the new Prince there, to find the answers they seek.

As 2004 draws to a close, what will 2005 bring to the Praxis of Vienna? And will such an unchanging city be able to handle the changes it has seen so quickly?
