Suicidal glory is the luxury of the irresponsible. We're not giving up. We're waiting for a better opportunity to win.

Some call it "The Edge."

The spirits call it "The Borderlands."

One might call it a demilitarized zone, if not for the fact that it's definitely militarized.

It's more a No Man's Land, spanning the area along the westernmost Inner Districts and easternmost sections of the West Side, demarcates the dividing lines between Pure and Forsaken realms and warring spirit broods.

This is where Die Soldaten des Randes -- "The Soldiers of the Edge" -- claim territory.

Territory
The pack's territory sits on the fringe of Pure territory, centered around Kennedy Bridge and Huetteldorfer Street on the southeast border of the West Side. Some might think this a challenge to the Pure themselves, particularly after this pack's escapades deep in Pure territory. They call the territory "The Edge."

They also jointly protect the area of Auer-Welsbach park, which butts against their territory.

Totem
Argent Flame that Lights the Border is a flame spirit with a strangely lunar aspect. While not a lune, it certainly has seen the influence of Luna's chimeric energies. Little is known about the totem of the Soldiers of the Edge, save that it is watchful over their tenuous position on the edge of Pure territory. (Argent Flame is often played by Johanna or Yseulte.)
Pack Dynamics
  • Actions speak louder than words.
  • This pack respects strength of character more than anything.
  • We're family. Like the Musketeers, all for one, and one for all. This doesn't mean there won't be consequences for dragging the rest of us into a mess, however.
  • The pack hierarchy is loose. Different members lead at different times. The alpha does not dominate, but she does have the final say when final say is needed.
  • Soldaten pick their battles. Live and let live. Clean up your own mess. If it doesn't affect them, leave them alone.
  • This is not a military/combat pack. "Soldaten" just sounds cool in German and went nicely with "the Edge." ;)
  • No time or tolerance for OOC drama. Zero, zilch, none.

Recruiting
We are not currently recruiting.
  • It's possible we will consider the right addition, if they fit with current members and the vision Soldaten has. This process could take some time, to be sure that everyone rubs right, so if you're looking for quick acceptance, we're not your pack.
Logs
These logs should give a pretty good sense of what you can expect from our pack: Troupe-style RP, shared spotlight, good dialogue, dynamic scenes.
Three members of Soldaten deal with a particularly nasty spirit.
A Ghost Wolf becomes a Blood Talon.
The pack and its allies ambush some of the Pure.
A pack's oath to a mercurial totem.
Triumph ... and tragedy.
